The Center For Social Change

Creating Diverse Social Impact in Opportunity Zones

Helping Communities Work supports the Encore Opportunity Zone Fellowship being hosted by the Center for Social Change (C4SC), a Miami-based nonprofit shared space, which provides diverse support services to 75 nonprofit organizations. C4SC aggregates the assets, resources, capacities and capabilities of the nonprofit shared space community, various Encore Fellowships and other nonprofit organizations and missions. The objective is to create diverse, systemic, efficient, large-scale and sustainable social impact through a process that holistically broadens the socioeconomic scope and value proposition of Qualified Opportunity Funds.

The Center for Social Change expands and aggregates the socioeconomic contributions being made by the nonprofit shared space community in opportunity zones across the United States. The process empowers the collective capacities and capabilities of nonprofit organizations to provide diverse and comprehensive social impact solutions to the national opportunity zone enterprise. Focus areas include: jobs creation, human capital development, social purpose real estate, shared workspace communities, creative placemaking and technology-assisted affordable housing.
