Helping Communities Work - Place Appalachia

Helping Communities Work recognizes that place-based strategies can help to break down the silos that challenge the achievement of diverse socioeconomic goals and objectives. They can facilitate collaborations among stakeholders who may not ordinarily communicate yet have interrelated socioeconomic goals and objectives.

Our strategies are designed to create stronger bonds among stakeholders in education, industry, government, philanthropy and the arts and culture. We broaden the socioeconomic scope of our work through collaborations with providers of other place-based strategies, which include: place branding, maker spaces, creative placemaking, destination and events planning and others.
